Register of gambling businesses

Domain names and trading names are provided by the gambling business. The Gambling Commission cannot guarantee the accuracy of information provided by third parties.

The fields in this register
Field Description
Account number The unique reference number of the business
Account name The legal name of the gambling business
Licence status The status of the licence

  • Active - Licence is active and up to date
  • Expired - Indicates that a licensee has not applied to the Commission for a new operating licence after the current licence reaches its end date
  • Forfeited - Indicates that a court has ordered the licence to no longer have affect
  • Lapsed - As a result of the business being liquidated, sequestrated or declared bankrupt; or a licensee is unable to carry out the licensed activities by reason of mental or physical incapacity
  • Revoked - Licence revoked as a result of regulatory action or breach of licence conditions
  • Revoked (Non payment of fee) - Licence revoked as a result of annual fee not being paid
  • Superseded - Licence has been replaced by a newer version
  • Surrendered - Licence has been given up by the business as it is no longer required
  • Suspended - Licence has been suspended by the Gambling Commission pending investigation
Account type Always "Operator" for gambling businesses
Account start The date the business was first licensed by the Gambling Commission
Trading name count The number of trading names declared by the business to the Gambling Commission
Domain name count The number of domain names declared by the business to the Gambling Commission
Premises count The number of premises for the business known to the Gambling Commission
Trading name status The status of the trading name, this can be "Active" or "Inactive"
Domain name status The status of the domain name, this can be "Active", "Inactive" or "White label"
Sanctions Sanctions imposed by the Gambling Commission as a result of regulatory action or investigation.
Settlements Settlements the licensee has made as a result of regulatory action or investigation.
